Hello again to all those actually interested in our vacation antics.
Two summers ago, I created a blog that described our family trip to Yellowstone National Park, and here it is again, back by popular demand (I think? oh well).
As you might already know, my dad has been planning this "mystery vacation" for a while now, keeping the information completely secret aside from clues he would reveal each week. Some of us (cough Foster) attempted to decode the clues, while others (who will remain un-named) wanted to be "completely surprised", though they did vocally express their concern for the dogs. Here is the list of clues, in chronological order, courtesy of Foster-
All of us have decided that, knowing Dad, it is probably a nature area, and it will probably be in Georgia. Foster's expert calculations have led him to believe we are going to Jekyll Island, but who knows? We could be traveling to AT&T for all we know.
Anyway, stay tuned for updates throughout the vacation from your honest news source, because trust me, you can't trust anything off of Facebook.
I think your mystery vacation spot is Jekyll Island because the Secretary of Treasure is Jack Lew and kind of sounds like Jekyll {Secretary of the Treasury}. The painted bunting is known to live at Jeklyll Island {Painted Bunting}. It has water as it is an island {Water, Island}. A group of tycoons formed the Millionaires Club on Jekyll Island where they spent 3 months each year in isolation there {Millionaire} There's a lot of nature to explore at Jekyll Island {Eco}. Yep, y'all are headed to Jekyll Island!! Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, the first transcontinental phone call was made on Jekyll Island by the president of AT&T.
